Thanks for the last 14 years
In March of 2002, a new bike shop
opened in Danville, with the hopes and dreams of bringing the passion of cycling
to a growing community. Our goal was to offer brands and products that were not
seen in any other shops in the East Bay. We focused on European manufacturers and American builders, that were coveted by enthusiasts and racers alike. In
2004 we created C4 Racing, starting with only a dozen riders; the team grew
quickly to over 100 members. We were also the first sponsors of the local junior
racing team, Tiene Duro. Via C4 we started both the Lafayette Criterium, and the Mt. Diablo time trial that still
ascends Northgate road to just below the junction. We were the first partners
with Team DMC, a women's multi-sport club and team. I also named, and helped
sponsor the first Cruella Ride hosted by DMC. And then there is the Mt. Diablo
Challenge, which through the eight or so years we were associated, saw Pegasus donate over $12K
to help the cause of our favorite mountain. We have had an amazing list of
talented employee athletes: two that went on to be National Champions; one current pro; and the amazing amateur athletes that we call our regular
clients. Before we go, we would like to thank all of you that supported us, and
hope you continue to do so in the next evolution of the shop!! It may be a
little bit of a drive, but I assure you it will be worth it! In the interim,
please feel free to contact me at chris@pegasusbicycleworks.com. I will
continue to take care of you all as best I can. I will have news
posted soon about the next phase of life for Pegasus Bicycle Works. Stay tuned…

Fall Beneath My Feet
Fall drapes our hills for what I consider the finest riding of the year. The allegory of the changing seasons on planet earth. Fall heralds the Holiday season with All Hallows Eve, the Day of Thanksgiving and ends in the culmination of many cultural and religious celebrations. For me, it symbolizes the shedding of the past year and gets me mentally, spiritually and physically ready to start a new. It is a time of reflection and a chance to widen your views and broaden your soul. All while riding through life. We are here to help one another and figure out a way to make it all work, with love and respect as the foundation of our efforts. So before we go out in to the world this holiday season, lets try to remember to enjoy each other. And take that extra time to stop and help that cyclist who is stopped on the side of the road.
And before I forget, the riding is amazing! So join us on our next ride and share some holiday cheer.

Soma Buena Vista custom build
We had fun with this custom build. This one was built with everyday transportation in mind, but with high quality, classy looking parts. It's harder to come by nice high polished parts these days, but we were up to the challenge.

Post Rain Trail Ride
The light tamping the trails received from the rain last week is all but gone. Even with the predicted precipitation, I think we will be able to hit the trails all winter. The ground is so dry that it may take some biblical rain to get "normal" winter trail conditions... we can only hope. And I hope my forecast is incorrect and we are kept off the trails for a little while. Hope you all had a nice weekend

Breezer Designs Bike for the Pope

"A simple bicycle offers not just healthful exercise but access to employment, education, and health care," said Mayor of Philadelphia Michael Nutter. "The bicycle is a true champion for all, regardless of socioeconomic or cultural background, gender, age, or any perceived limitations. Getting places under their own power gives people an enhanced sense of their individual potential and greater hope about their lives." take a read...
My only comment about the bike? It may be a bit to flash for Francis. He seems to a jesuit through and through.
