FAST FREDDIE NOW BEING SERVED

Join us on Thursdays for cup of Fast Freddie Turbo Blend Coffee
and you may be served by Freddie himself! That's right, Pegasus is now the Official Coffee stop of FAST FREDDIE'S  training rides. The ride begins at the Domingo Ave. Peet's Coffee in Berkeley. Departure time is around 8:30 am and is informal. We have had three successful rides so far and the rides will continue until... The group pulls into Pegasus around 10:45-ish, for a short coffee break and for bike-centric conversation (as you will see in the slideshow images on the right).

Freddy is encouraging people to join the ride here and create their own loop if they are not interested in going all the way back to Berkeley. Typically the ride departs from the shop and goes up Mt. Diablo; out towards Livermore or, over Dublin Canyon, before heading back towards the bay. Can't make the ride? Just stop by to say hello and have a free cup the FF Turbo Blend coffee. You can also buy a can coffee and help support the Fast Freddie Foundation.

"Our mission at Fast Freddie Foundation (FFF) is to support young cyclists in achieving their goals in cycling and beyond. FFF is strongly committed to enhancing the physical, ethical, and professional development of young riders through our creation of cycling programs and our support of youth cycling teams and leagues that aim to give these talented and dedicated cyclists the skills and tools for realizing their dreams. FFF believes that essential to this objective is emphasizing that education and community responsibility are key to achieving success, both on and off the bike."- F.F.

The last couple of rides included a transplant pro on the Garmin-Transitions squadra, Kirk Carlsen. That's him comparing custom shoes and inserts with Freddie et al.(in the slide show to the right) Say hello to him and welcome him to the bay area, he is very approachable and a great ambassador of our sport. Well, say hello to him once he's back from winter training camp. I think they are in Spain....

Good thing the coffee smelled so good!
